Hey everyone!
After many long months of development, it is finally time. I am thrilled to announce that the rebuilt Unreal Directive website is now live – bringing a sleek new design, updated resources, and exciting new features!
Here is a little sneak peak at the highlighted features –
The Asset Naming Conventions and Console Variables Resources have been carefully redesigned to be easier and more intuitive for developers to use. Instead of pagination, the content are infinite scroll with filters and search to fine-tune results.
To give a quick recap of these resources –
The Asset Naming Conventions provide a detailed list of the ideal naming conventions you can use for your project. These conventions are heavily inspired by the Official Unreal Engine naming conventions, the widely followed Allar's Style Guide, and my own professional experience collaborating with many companies.

The Console Variables provide a searchable list of Unreal Engine console commands and variables for quick and easy discoverability. Clicking on a console variable will open up additional information about that console variable along with a quick copy button.

The goal with these hand-crafted resources is to provide valuable tooling to improve the quality of life of all Unreal Engine developers.
The Developer and Resource Collections have been split apart of focus on discoverability and to provide more detailed information.

For the Resource Collection, each resource will have a dedicated page that shows additional information about that resource such as developer, who submitted the resource, type, etc. In addition, similar resources are listed to help you find what you need.

Similarly for the Developer Collection, each developer will have their own dedicated page that showcases their resources, socials, how to support them, and any additional information.

My goal with these collections is to bring to the forefront the resources and developers that provide valuable information and best development practices to the Unreal Engine community.
A new account and profile system has been implemented with the intention of fostering a close and professional community. While the current features are quite limited, I will be expanding on them based on community feedback over time.
In the meantime, you will have access to your own profile where you can display a custom avatar, bio, and any socials you wish to share.

Most of the content on the website will feature like and commenting capabilities. While these are typical in social platforms, I want to use them to sort content by popularity and engagement.

Over the past few years, I have been evaluating the effectiveness and appeal of the existing membership structure and perks. And with the launch of the new website, it seemed like the perfect time to make some changes that better align with the evolution of the Unreal Directive.
Multiple of the attempted perks that ended up being unpopular have been phased out (e.g., Toolkit, Research Notes, Graphic Downloads) in favor of simpler offerings. And with these changes, I have also updated the pricing to reflect the change.
For current members/supporters, please review the updated tiers and select the one that best suits your interests and budget. If you're happy with your current membership price, your benefit tiers will transition as shown above.
There is still a lot of work that needs to be done on the website. I will be polishing the implemented features, squashing any bugs that are brought to my attention, and address any feedback or concerns brought up by the community.
In addition, I will be breathing new life into older content by rewriting, updating, and improving the information and examples.
I am very excited to share this next chapter of the Unreal Directive with you! Please let me know what you think of the new website as feedback of any kind is greatly appreciated.
