Content Browser Quick Search

By focusing on the content browser and typing in an asset name, you can quickly find and open any asset within the content browser's current directory.

This quick search query will appear at the bottom right of the content browser window and will reset after two inactive seconds. In addition, the query is a starts-with query rather than a contains query; therefore, it is only geared towards opening exact assets.

While this hidden feature isn't groundbreaking, it can save considerable time as it relies on just the keyboard rather than both the keyboard and mouse.

Notes

• The search entry appears at the bottom right of the Content Browser
• The search entry will reset after 2 inactive seconds
• You cannot backspace or delete within the search entry
• Only searches the current directory
• Search queries from start of name
• Press ENTER during the query to open the asset
